Como Rotarios encontramos frecuentemente que el mayor reto para lograr el desarrollo de las personas es lograr su desarrollo económico.
 
Rotary a nivel mundial reconoce este reto y busca crear conciencia sobre este durante el mes de Octubre nombrando a este mes el Mes del Desarrollo económico e integral de la comunidad.
 
Tal como Rotary nos dice textualmente:
 
“Aproximadamente 1.400 millones de personas malamente subsisten con menos de US$ 1,25 diarios. Los rotarios promueven el desarrollo económico e integral de la comunidad y reducen la pobreza en las comunidades subservidas mediante la capacitación, empleos bien remunerados y acceso a instituciones financieras. La amplia gama de proyectos abarca desde la provisión de equipamiento a la capacitación profesional. Nuestros socios ayudan a los emprendedores locales y líderes comunitarios, especialmente mujeres, en regiones de bajos ingresos.”

For the Rotarians the biggest challenge for development of the people quite often is to achieve economic development.
 
Rotary International recognizes this challenge and seeks to raise awareness about this during the month of October by naming this month the “Month of Community Economic Development “.
 
As Rotary indicates on its website:
