For the Rotarians the biggest challenge for development of the people quite often is to achieve economic development.
Rotary International recognizes this challenge and seeks to raise awareness about this during the month of October by naming this month the “Month of Community Economic Development “.
As Rotary indicates on its website:
"Approximately 1,400 million people subsist badly on less than US $ 1.25 a day. Rotarians promote economic and comprehensive community development and reduce poverty in underserved communities through training, well-paying jobs and access to financial institutions. The wide range of projects ranging from the provision of equipment for vocational training. Our partners help local entrepreneurs and community leaders, especially women, in low-income regions. "
